   hi I really want to make my own cloth diapers but I can’t figure out what fabric you use to make them water proof or do you just put the vinyl pooty training pants over them but I would thik it is shame to make them out of cute patterned fabric and then just cover it with a white cover

     Just to follow up (a little late, 2 years later)-I made a dozen AIO, and a dozen covers. I ended up with a 7lber , who came home at a little over 6lbs(really short with a big belly). The AIO were a bit small and only lasted a couple weeks, the covers worked great for the first month, and were pretty much all I used. Everybody wanted to know where they came from! They are also a hit with the boys when they need dolly diapers.

   It’s the Little Starter Pattern, which has instructions to add the gusset to the cover style.
