Molly makes the best faces.

During our morning "circle time" they like to sing a modified version of "If you’re happy and you know it" which includes all different emotions (many of which we think up of on the spot), and with the line "and your face will surely show it" we pause and the kids get to make an appropriate facial expression to match the emotion we picked.

Their current favorite verse is "If you’re angy and you know it stomp your feet!"

This, is clearly her angry face.

Oh, but she can still do adorable too.

Asleep at Grandma’s House.

While we were at my parents’ house today, Marcus fell asleep in my Mom’s arms. She quietly snuck upstairs and laid him down in the spare bedroom.

About an hour in, when I went to check on him, he looked like this.

Another 30 minutes later, while we were hanging out in the living room, Marcus appeared. Apparently he had woken up, navigated his way off the bed and down two flights of stairs.

Lets just say they both made me smile today.

Thomas, Nature Explorer.

We’ve been going on nature walks in the afternoon, and the kids happily bring along their trusty magnifying glasses using them on anything that moves and even what doesn’t.

Thomas was even clever enough to use it to detain insects long enough for us to get a better look at them.

He’s got quite fast reflexes when it comes to trapping bugs! 🙂

Ah, one of the many joys of motherhood.
