We had two firsts today. Marcus rode in the bike trailer for the first time and Thomas rode on his own bike for a long ride, navigating crosswalks and pedestrian traffic quite well.
Just as we were ending our ride, I noticed Marcus getting sleepy. Parking my bike (and stopping to take a picture) Molly giggled… “Mommy, Marcus is sleeping on my elbow!”
We researched and researched again what game system to get the kids…
Well, turns out when we went to the store to purchase what we thought was best, Thomas decided he wanted one that "had two screens and folded" and Molly wanted a "pink" one.
Ah well, life lesson learned…
Ever since we moved to Colorado 10 years ago (TODAY!), we’ve gotten used to never having any rain to speak of.
This year both kids begged for umbrellas for their birthdays, we came through and bought them, all the while laughing that they would never really "use" them.
Well, this year has proven us wrong.
It seems like it’s been raining the entire month of July. Which is a good thing for my garden, because usually by this time all my plants have given up on their "irregular" feedings.
We went to the park tonight before dinner.
Thomas’ new favorite game is running up along side of you and slapping your leg while yelling, "Tag! You’re it!"
Thom happily obliged.
While we were deciding on a movie for our family movie night, the kids decided to be silly.
Well, I suppose that’s a silly thing to say, considering that they pretty much exclusively decide to be silly.
Molly picked up some stickers from a vegan diner we went to in Salt Lake City, UT last month. They are put out by PETA have cute sayings on them.
Their favorite is "Fish are friends, not food." lol! I think it may have something to do with the sharks in Nemo…
The littles LOVE Darby O’Gill. I would say I don’t get it, I mean it’s a super, umm, odd movie… but truth be told? I do.
The kids love it for the dancing. "The Fox Chase" Darby plays on the Stradivarius violin?? Huge hit. (As you can see in my picture!)
My favorite? Michael (young Sean Connery) beautifully singing (lip-syncing) "Pretty Irish Girl" to me. Uh… I mean to Katie. Yeah… Katie.
This morning Molly woke up, had some cereal then requested to make biscuits.
She was a huge help as always, wearing her awesome pink princess apron.
While they were in the oven, she got hungry and could no longer wait any longer.
Peanut butter and jelly to the rescue.
A time for laughing…
making funny faces…
and most importantly…
Falling asleep on daddy.
We had a great time out in the garden today, just Marcus and Me.
Darn kid refused to look at me with the camera though. 😉
